Döda Skogen

After a small ... missunderstanding with an alchemist in Townsheade the Half-elf Cinnie (Cinnilynne) and two of her friends makes headway to re-unite with the gang who split up to get away from the exorbitant sum put on their heads by a very angry Alchemist indeed.

Cinnie and her two friend Will and Bill are the first to arrive to the tavern 'The Golden Boar' where they have previously sold of purloined items. The inn-keep is not to be trusted much but he is sympathetic to the kids (and they do pull in a steady profit for him after all). He agrees to let them sleep in the barn in exchange for some work done around the place.

This is where Cinni and Bill first encounters the merchantman Dregil who asks if they could perhaps retrieve some of his lost goods from the local tribe of goblins. "Small, dirty, primitive they were but my guard went a-running and so did I once I considered the numbers."

A trek to the old ravine has them arrive at dawn hence Cinnie has deducted that nocturnal goblins who have stolen six barrels of wine and a couple of horse are likely to be asleep or hungover. They manage to sneak down and retrieve several bolts of silk and a sealed box from the wagon before they make their get away. Will however is captured and brought to the goblin-queen after squeeking out that he is there to pay homage to heir beauty.

Leaving to give Dregil his due, regroup and plan to get Will out of trouble if he can't charm himself out of it they return to the inn, get payed in (what for them) is an enormous sum.

As Cinnie chips wood and Bill does dishes and waits for Will to return a Tall man on a black horse comes to the inn, he is terrifying looking in dark armour and carrying a sword that would make any Berzerk fan happy. Bill cheerfully takes care of the man's horse wanting to riffle through his saddlebags. This proves fatal as the horse kicks him and caves his skull in.

Meanwhile Cinnie makes herslef a friendly barmaid and approaches the knight whom reveals himself to be Anbel of Eledain. A paladin who seeks the magus Windhand to retrieve an artifact he has stolen from the order of Paladins. As Cinnie mulls over this the Innkeep orders her to get rid of the body. "What Body?" "Your friend. Maybe he tried fondling the horse or sumewhat.". So Bill gets a shallow grave.

Trying to at the least save Will Cinnie goes inside to talk to the Paladin and begs him to save Will from the Goblins. There is no hesitation in the man as he goes to confront the goblin Rabble. There are a few surprises as they clear of the Goblin-camp. Like a couple of sleeping trolls and a total of 8 orcs, none of which even manages to put a dent in the formidable paladins armour. Cinnie mostly keeps in the background but gets to re-introduce one of the orcs to his own dropped blade. Will in the meantime having heard the commotion and the orders has simply stabbed the goblin-queen with her own dagger. Waiting out of trouble and watching through a crack in the door he barely manages to go over and slouch on the 'Throne' of the goblin-ruler.
