Radan Petrovič
The years is 1990. It is election times. All over Sarajevo are posters of the leaders of the nationalistic parties that are expected to win the election. They smile. You recognise their faces from the TV news. They never smile there.

The adults are taking about that it is not looking good and the possibility of war. Anamarija does not think so, maybe conflicts and clashes in the capital, but not full out war. Petar and Vesna believes there will be war.
Radan is the oldest child of a Serbian family. He has little in the form of things going for him even before the war breaks out.
The family is poor and Radan as a car mechanic is the most highly educated member of it.
Radan's Dreams and Aspiration
Quick and pretty damn smart he is sometimes known as "Radan the Rat" to the bosnian gentlemen who leaves their expensive cars in his capable hands. His survival skills are pretty good but his people skills might be slightly lower as he has a unfortunate tendency to blame the Bosnians for all ills that has befallen him and his family.
Radan's first day at work was awash in fluids. First rain on the way there, then rancid motor-oil while there. On the whole though the owner seemed both pleased and amused by 'The Rat' scurrying to work hard.
Well at home there was a restful evening with good food followed by a bath and then some TV and a beer.

Mother
Works daytime as a waitress at a local restaurant and nighttime as a cleaner at a hotel. 33 years old.
The new Guy
Anas new husband, about 40. Petar and Ana met about 4 years ago and soon after Dušan was born.
3 year old little sister. Does not like baths.
Uncle Vesna
Anas older brother, about 35. Works officialy as a car mechanic but also sells booze and various other trinkets out of the boot of his car. Smoker.
Sometimes asks Radan to come with him on various jobs.
Grandfather Jovan and Grandmother Vera
Anas mother and father, both in their 50s. Jovan works as a handyman and gardener and Vera bakes bread at home and sells to the neighbours, also main babysitter for Dušan.
Other people of note
About 40 years old. Was part of the family up until about 4-5 years ago. Location unknown.
Leena / Lela the Witch
The crazy neighborhood lady. Came in with her car to the mechanic shop where Radan worked. Noticed Radan using magic while getting one of her brakes unstuck and has since promised to teach Radan about his power.
Other creatures of note
Julius - Leenas cat. Big grey tomcat, missing ear and big scar over one eye. Puts the fear of god into dogs and other creatures that cross him.

The WAR
The Agency
Agencija za ezoterične poslove i eterično (cryllic: Агенција за езотеричне послове и етерично, english: the agency of esoteric affairs and the ethereal), or just referred to as "The agency" in casual speak is a bureau that concerns itself with the supernatural, magical and otherworldly and the way it interacts with the mundane word and its inhabitants. It is the expert on such matters and politicians, police as well as private citizens turn to the agency for advice.
People of note in the agency:
- Andrei Nikolić - Seems to be the head of the agency, aka the boss. Wears a shirt, jacket and tie on most days. Radans new master.
- Rebecca - The sweet receptionist and aidee to Andrei. Very beautiful. Always well-dressed.
- Miriam Davidovic - Older apprentice of Andrei. Her best forms are Create/Strengthen Energy (fire!!!).
- Abram and Illarion Karev, paternal twins in charge of the care of the small "beasts" that are captured by the agents. Often have discoloured fingers, band-aids and patches on their hands and arms.
- Johann Müller - Secretive and obscure man that lives in his lab.
Floors of the agency
1st floor - Reception, cafeteria and offices.
2nd floor - Library, labs and "the zoo". Johann has his own, private lab on this floor.
